A leading recruitment agency is seeking a 1-to-1 SEND teaching assistant in Walsall for a mainstream primary school, starting September 2025. The role focuses on supporting a Year 1 student who is autistic, requiring full-time assistance to adapt to the curriculum. This position is temporary, working weekdays during term time from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a pay rate of at least £89 per day.
We are working with a mainstream primary setting in Walsall, who are seeking a 1-to-1 SEND teaching assistant to join their team and work with a Year 1 female student, who is autistic and non-verbal and is working at closer to EYFS stages. She has struggled to adapt to accessing the curriculum in the mainstream classroom, the school have managed to secure additional funding now to provide a 1-to-1 to support her on a full-time basis starting from September 2025 until the end of the academic year (July 2026) as a minimum but could be longer. This role will be working Monday to Friday during term-time only for the hours of 8:30 until 3:30.
