Job summary

OFG Education’s Acorn Park School in Banham is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our SEND-focused team. The role supports learners with additional needs through one-to-one and small-group work, fostering independence and confidence in a caring setting.

The position is permanent and term-time, with a 37.5-hour week, starting November 2026. A DBS check and safeguarding commitment are required as part of our inclusive, outcomes-driven culture.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Builds positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND and complex needs to engage in learning and achieve goals.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support in and beyond the classroom.
• Build trusted relationships so students feel safe, valued and confident.
• Promote emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour and social development.
• Encourage independence, communication skills and personal growth.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and professionals to achieve best outcomes.
