Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time at a Primary School in Gateshead (NE10) from November 2026 until April 2027. The SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the position will be supporting a Year 1 child on a 1:1 basis. This will include in-class support, as well as directed interventions as required.

Some training will be given by the school. This is a 'Good' Primary School, where staff are committed to supporting each child and using adaptive

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary school aged children.
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils.
• An ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis in class.
• Provide in-class support and directed interventions as required.
• Participate in training provided by the school.
