Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a network of primary schools in Manchester and the surrounding areas.

We have opportunities now for daily supply, part-time, and longer-term placements. Roles include supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small-group basis, and helping with classroom activities, routines and transitions within primary classrooms.

Qualifications

• Has relevant experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Has recent UK primary school experience, ideally within the last 2 years
• Has a patient, supportive and adaptable approach
• Is confident working across different primary year groups
• Is reliable and committed to regular work

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small-group basis
• Assisting pupils with classroom learning and activities
• Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping pupils develop independence and confidence
• Supporting classroom routines and transitions
• Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
