Job summary

Monarch Education is working with a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND schools across Bristol and is looking to recruit experienced Teaching Assistants who are confident supporting pupils with additional needs.

Whether you're seeking daily supply, short-term, long-term placements or a route into a permanent role, we can offer flexibility to suit your availability. You will support pupils with SEND and work with teachers and SENCOs to ensure learning is engaging and inclusive.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience working in a UK school or educational setting.
• Confident supporting children with SEND.
• Good safeguarding and behaviour management understanding.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
• Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver targeted support.
• Assist with learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups where required.
• Demonstrate patience, resilience and adaptability in varied settings.
• Communicate effectively and work well in a team.

Education

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent Ofqual-recognised qualification)

12 months' UK education experience
