Job summary

Class Act is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for day-to-day supply across multiple schools in Bicester and surrounding areas. You will support pupils with special educational needs in classrooms and small groups, and help implement education and behaviour plans.

Ideal candidates will have experience with SEND, strong behaviour management skills, and the ability to build positive relationships. DBS checks are required or willingness to obtain one; safeguarding is a core obligation of this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management and differentiated learning.
• Ability to build positive relationships and maintain a calm, supportive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with special educational needs in classroom and small group settings.
• Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning strategies.
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure tailored support.
• Provide one-to-one assistance where required and help pupils engage with learning activities.
• Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times.
