Job summary

Dorset Council UK is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children in our Infant School, helping pupils with additional needs access learning, gain independence, and participate in school life. You will work as part of a team to adapt resources and activities and to produce materials that aid learning.

The contract is 27.5 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks per year) with a salary of £16,005–£16,259 per annum, grade 5, SCP 5-6.

Qualifications

• Previous work with children is essential.
• Support the needs of an individual pupil and assist teachers.
• Be resilient and flexible with a passion for supporting children with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the school day.
• Adapt existing resources and activities.
• Produce resources to aid learning.
• Assist teachers and promote engagement and behaviour.
