Make a real difference every day!
Gold Education Recruitment is looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Colchester area.
If you're passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
We're looking for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with pupils, understands the importance of personalised support and can help create a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
This is a full-time opportunity, ideally suited to someone with previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those who have worked on a 1:1 basis.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting pupils with their learning, confidence and personal development. You'll work closely with individual students, adapting your approach to suit their needs and helping them feel comfortable, included and ready to learn.
You'll provide 1:1 support in the classroom and, where required, during activities outside the classroom. Working alongside teachers and other support staff, you'll help pupils access the curriculum, develop their independence, improve their communication and build positive relationships with those around them.
Some students may need additional support with concentration, emotional regulation, communication or classroom routines, so patience, empathy and a calm, consistent approach are essential.
Every day brings an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a child's school experience.
We're looking for someone who is caring, reliable and genuinely passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive. You'll be confident building trusting relationships with pupils, able to adapt to different situations and comfortable working as part of a supportive school team.
Previous experience in a SEND setting is highly desirable, particularly experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs. Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, communication difficulties or other learning needs would also be advantageous.
To be considered, you must have experience working directly with children or young people and be available to work full time. Previous UK education experience is essential, and candidates who can start ASAP are particularly encouraged to apply.
At Gold Education Recruitment, we understand how important it is to feel supported in your role. You'll have a dedicated consultant to guide you throughout your placement, with ongoing advice and support whenever you need it.
You'll benefit from competitive daily pay rates inclusive of holiday pay, weekly PAYE payments and the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a school setting. This is also a fantastic opportunity to develop your SEND experience and build a rewarding career in education.
If you're passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and have the experience we're looking for, we'd love to hear from you!
Every child deserves the support to succeed
If you're patient, enthusiastic and ready to help pupils grow in confidence, develop new skills and achieve their potential, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
