Job summary

The Skipton Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support SEND students, including those with autism, on a fixed-term basis. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm, term-time only, with an unpaid lunch break and an early finish one afternoon each week.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will work with SEND students, including those with Autism, under direction to support learning and independence.
• Respect confidentiality of information relating to the academy and its students.

Responsibilities

• Support SEND students in all areas of school life as directed by teaching staff.
• Assist with monitoring progress and reporting to SENCO/Assistant Principal.
• Promote independent learning and positive pupil engagement.
