Job summary

Halstead Community Primary School in Halstead invites applications for an experienced teaching assistant to support pupils in our SEND Unit Maple Class. You will work alongside qualified teachers and a dedicated team of teaching assistants in a nurturing, village school environment.

The role is term-time only, 39 weeks per year, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday. A proactive, caring approach to pupil wellbeing and learning is essential, with a focus on inclusivity and individual

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND, ideally ASD.
• Experience working in a SEND Unit with a team of teachers and assistants.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in Maple Class within the SEND Unit.
• Work alongside qualified teachers and other assistants to plan and deliver activities.
• Promote an inclusive environment and support pupil development.
