?? Location: SEND unit within a mainstream primary school, Slough ?? Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:45pm ?? Daily rate from £89 PAYE Are you an energetic and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant ready to make a difference every day? We’re looking for someone special to join the dedicated SEND unit of a welcoming mainstream primary school in Slough. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with complex needs, personal care requirements and behaviours that can sometimes challenge — ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, child-centred environment. About the role: • Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support to primary-aged pupils with a range of complex SEND, including autism, ADHD and communication difficulties • Use play-based and sensory approaches to engage pupils and promote learning • Assist with personal care routines sensitively and respectfully • Support emotional regulation and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behaviour strategies • Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCO and external specialists to adapt learning materials and strategies • Encourage independence, self-confidence and social skills during lessons and unstructured times • Contribute to daily records, supporting the tracking of pupil progress and wellbeing • Help prepare the classroom with visual aids, resources and sensory equipment to create an inclusive, welcoming space What we’re looking for: ?
