Are you looking for a work supporting SEN Primary School pupils?

TeacherActive are looking for a Special Need Teaching Assistant in Leeds to have the opportunity to work in a small 1 form entry primary school with a Catholic ethos. The position available is to work as a supply member of staff covering on a long term basis, working as a 1:1 support for a child with complex needs, nonverbal pupil in a Year 2 class.

This role is for someone with a nurturing and calming manner, who has experience of using nonverbal cues including PECS and vision cards. The school needs someone to come in and create a safe and trusting relationship, allowing the pupil to progress in their learning and development.

The position is on a long-term basis, 5 days a week, 8.45- 3.30pm.

The successful TA will have:

• Experience supporting a wide range of subjects up to Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2
• Strong experience in supporting classroom management
• A range of SEND Support experience
