Job summary

Axcis Education in Croydon is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with autism (aged 16–19) in a mainstream school. The role involves helping the student engage with lessons, follow their learning plan, and build confidence.

You will work closely with teaching staff, assist with personal care as needed, and contribute to safeguarding by ensuring DBS clearance or being prepared to obtain one. This is a full-time position in a UK school setting.

Qualifications

• A patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous SEND support experience is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one.

Location: CR0 Pay: £14.25 - 16 p/h (Depending on Experience) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
