Start Date: September 2nd | Location: Islington | Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30 | Salary: £93.48 P/D and upwards

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

A wonderful SEND School in Islington is seeking a kind, caring, and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support students within its secondary department. The role involves supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary support to excel academically.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Assist with classroom activities and promote inclusion.
2. Provide one-on-one and group support to students.
3. Create a calm, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
4. Provide personal care when needed.
5. Utilize various communication techniques.
6. Employ de-escalation techniques if necessary.

The school values experience working with children with SEND and is looking for someone passionate about making a positive impact. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. A relevant qualification in SEND or teaching assistance is desirable but not mandatory.
