Job summary

Premier Education Ltd is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in primary schools across Wigan, Leigh and Atherton. You will work in mainstream or specialist provision, providing 1:1 support and helping pupils engage with learning.

We value calm, patient TA's who can adapt activities, support communication, and work closely with teachers and SENDCOs to provide consistent support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs such as ASC or ADHD.
• Care, healthcare or specialist settings experience may be relevant.
• Calm, patient approach and strong resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils.
• Help pupils regulate and engage with learning.
• Support communication and interaction in class.
• Deliver targeted interventions and adapt classroom activities.
• Work with teachers and SENDCOs to provide consistent support.

Do you have a real strength for supporting children who need that little bit more?

We're recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in primary schools across Wigan.

We're particularly interested in people who have experience supporting children with needs such as ASC, ADHD, communication difficulties, SEMH or challenging behaviour, whether that's within a mainstream classroom, specialist provision or through 1:1 support.

You could be:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support
• Helping a pupil regulate and engage with learning
• Supporting communication and interaction
• Delivering targeted interventions
• Adapting classroom activities
• Supporting personal care where required
• Working closely with teachers and SENDCOs to provide consistent support

You don't necessarily need years and years of experience. We're interested in people with the right practical experience, resilience and approach to children.

Experience from care, healthcare or specialist settings may also be relevant alongside school-based experience.
