Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a secondary school in Lambeth, starting September. You will work with teachers and SEN teams to support students with diverse learning needs, both in class and in targeted interventions.

The role involves classroom, one-to-one and small group support, promoting positive behaviour and helping deliver inclusive lessons in a safe learning environment. DBS update or willingness to obtain one is required.

Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Secondary School | Lambeth | September Start

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential in a positive school environment.


The Role

As an LSA, you will work alongside teachers and the SEN team to support students with a range of additional learning needs, both in class and through small group or one-to-one interventions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide classroom, one-to-one, and small group support.

  • Assist students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

  • Promote positive behaviour and student engagement.

  • Support teachers in delivering inclusive lessons.

  • Help create a safe and supportive learning environment.


The Ideal Candidate


  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

  • A genuine passion for education and supporting students.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Patient, proactive, and adaptable.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
