Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd in Gosport is seeking a dedicated 1:1 primary teaching assistant to support a Year 1 child with autism. You will help manage emotions, adapt resources, and build trusting relationships to remove barriers to learning.

Starting October 2026, you will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30, with a long-term contract and daily pay of £85–£92. Must have resilience, good behaviour management, and a passion for inclusive education.

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant seeking a new role? Do you have experience working with a child with Autism who can become frustrated at his barriers to education? Can you create trusting and respectful relationships?

This is in a school which is rated “at the expected standard\" by Ofsted school in the Fareham area. The role would be working 1:1 each day, often adapting resources to suit needs and help regulate emotions.

Job Description:

• Working with a Year 1 child
• Working with a child who can become frustrated that they are not understood
• Supporting needs with PECS, zones of regulation, sensory circuits etc
