Job description

ANZUK Education is seeking teaching assistants to work in some of our incredible SEMH schools on a part-time, full-time, or day-to-day basis.

About the Role

We are collaborating with a partner school in Dorking, Surrey, to find a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Learning Support Assistant (LSA), or LSAs willing to learn more about working with SEMH students. This specialist school caters to boys aged 9-16 with SEMH needs.

Details

• Pay: £102.60 - £119.70 per day, Umbrella (PAYE option available)
• Location: Dorking, Surrey
• Availability: Monday - Friday, Monday - Wednesday, or Wednesday - Friday

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with children with SEND, particularly SEMH
• Be calm, patient, and proactive
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• Training in Team Teach (desirable but not essential)

Key Responsibilities

• Support students with SEMH and additional learning needs
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Deliver 1-1 and small group interventions
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt materials as needed
• Work collaboratively with staff to develop personalised strategies
