Are you a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in supporting individuals with additional needs? Whether you’re an experienced SEND TA, a care worker or a sports coach eager to take the next step in your career, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are proud to be working with a fantastic all-through special school that provides exceptional educational care and support to its students. Due to growing student numbers, the school is looking for patient, resilient and enthusiastic teaching assistants to join their team. With classes ranging from EYFS to post-16, opportunities are available across all age groups, and placements will be based on your strengths and experience. However, flexibility is key as you may be required to support different classes when needed.

About the role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, complex learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs. Your previous experience in SEN support will be essential in helping students thrive in a structured and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting the classroom teacher in managing and engaging the class
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or in small groups, depending on their needs
  • Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Building strong and supportive relationships to help students develop academically, socially and emotionally

Who we’re looking for:

If you are empathetic, hardworking and committed to making a real difference in students’ lives, we want to hear from you! This role is ideal for candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including those with experience in care, coaching or support work.

This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday (08:45 - 15:45), term time only. If you prove to be an invaluable asset to the team, there is potential to make this position permanent. I have placed several members of staff there this academic year, all of which have gone on to secure permanent contracts.

Ready to take the next step in your career? Apply today to be part of a team that truly transforms lives!
