We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team supporting students with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The position begins in September 2025.

Duties of a SEND Teaching Assistant:

1. Provide tailored support to pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, SEMH, cognition, and learning challenges.
2. Assist in delivering differentiated learning within the classroom and in small groups.
3. Support behaviour management, communication, and emotional regulation strategies.
4. Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals.
5. Promote independence and confidence in all areas of learning.
6. Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Experience working with children with SEND in school, care, or community settings.
2. A calm, patient, and proactive approach.
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
4. Understanding of or willingness to learn about EHCPs and SEND strategies.
