Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND and SEMH, in a supportive school setting. The role involves 1:1 and small-group work, emotional and academic support, and building trusting relationships with pupils.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teaching staff and the pastoral team to foster confidence, resilience and independent learning, while maintaining a calm, patient, and proactive

Qualifications

  • Experience in a school, PRU or alternative provision setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH.
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including challenging behaviour, SEMH and complex SEND requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive difference to young people who may require additional support to engage with education.

The Role:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis

  • Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
