Southfield School is seeking a SEND Teacher to deliver creative, personalised learning for pupils with complex needs in a small-class setting.

You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families, track progress, celebrate development, and contribute to the school’s vision and ongoing improvement.

About the Role

As a SEND Teacher at Southfield, you will:

• Deliver creative, engaging and personalised learning for pupils with complex needs
• Create a nurturing classroom environment where every child can succeed
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals
• Track, assess and celebrate pupil progress and development
• Contribute to the wider life, vision and continuous improvement of the school

You will play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, independence, communication skills and a love of learning.

• Demonstrates strong classroom practice and behaviour management

• Can deliver a commitment to SEND and inclusive practice
• Desirables would include experience working with autism and complex needs and knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, Makaton or sensory approaches
