Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd is recruiting an experienced SEND Teacher for an inclusive Birmingham primary school in Edgbaston. The role involves teaching pupils with significant and complex learning needs in a specialist resource provision, with small-group, highly individualised lessons and an adapted curriculum.

You will plan personalised learning around EHCP outcomes, support communication and independence, and work with dedicated SEN staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching high-needs SEND children.
• Experience in a special school, SEN unit or resource base preferred.
• Confident adapting curriculum for pupils significantly below age-related expectations.
• Nurturing, patient and consistent teaching approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver highly personalised learning around EHCP outcomes.
• Deliver pre-formal and semi-formal learning.
• Create meaningful sensory and practical learning experiences.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and independence.
• Lead and work with experienced SEND support staff.
• Assess progress from individual starting points and adapt provision.
