Job summary

Venturers' Academy, part of the E-ACT family, is seeking a SEND Teacher to join the Secondary team in Bristol. You will deliver high-quality teaching to students with autism and complex needs, creating personalised learning that supports academic, personal and social progress.

This permanent role is 32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with a structured pay scale and opportunities for professional growth within a nationally recognised academy trust.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (or recognised equivalent).
• Experience teaching students with SEND, particularly autism and/or complex needs.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and EHCP processes.
• Ability to adapt curriculum content and teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to create a calm, structured learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching for secondary students with autism and complex needs, ensuring strong academic, personal and social progress.
• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons meeting EHCP outcomes.
• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and supported.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external agencies for holistic development.
• Use effective assessment to monitor progress and adapt teaching to maximise outcomes.
