TeacherActive is recruiting a qualified SEND Teacher (QTS) for a specialist SEND school in Gateshead. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons to pupils aged 5–20 with diverse needs, and providing general classroom cover while adapting to individual learning requirements.

The successful candidate will have QTS and extensive experience in a UK SEND setting, with strong behaviour management and the ability to differentiate across subjects.

Qualifications

• QTS and extensive experience in a UK SEND school.
• Proven experience supporting children with SEN and disabilities, including complex needs.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.
• Provide general classroom cover while adapting learning to meet individual needs.
• Support pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• Maintain effective behaviour management and a patient, compassionate approach.
