Protocol Education is seeking SEND Teachers for primary and secondary roles to support diverse learners. You will create tailored lesson plans, provide one-to-one support, and effectively manage classroom behavior in supportive SEND schools. Ideal candidates will hold QTS/QTLS and demonstrate a compassionate educational approach.

Salary: £150 - £200 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)
Are you an experienced or aspiring SEND Teacher with a passion for inclusive education?
Protocol Education is working in partnership with a number of specialist SEND schools across South Shields, supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), SEMH, and communication challenges.
We are currently recruiting Primary and Secondary SEND Teachers who are committed to creating safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environments where every pupil can thrive.
Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of learners
Teach small groups or 1:1, adapting the curriculum to meet EHCP targets
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Use behaviour support strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviour
Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and families to support progress
QTS or QTLS – essential
Experience teaching in an SEND or alternative provision setting (preferred, but not essential)
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and behaviour management
A trauma-informed, compassionate approach
High levels of resilience and flexibility
Competitive daily pay: £150 - £210 (paid weekly via PAYE – no umbrella deductions)
Ongoing support from a dedicated SEND consultant

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
