SEND Teacher – Newcastle upon Tyne
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £150 – £207 per day (depending on experience)
Full-time | Monday to Friday | Term-time only

Are you a dedicated teacher with a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs? We're currently seeking a compassionate and skilledSEND Teacherto join a specialist provision in Newcastle that supports children and young people with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where every day is different and every child’s progress matters.

The Role:

As an SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver tailored lessons that meet a range of learning needs
  • Support students on EHCPs in both academic and emotional development
  • Adapt resources to suit individual learning styles and abilities
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider SEND team
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students feel safe and supported

What We’re Looking For:

  • QTS or QTLS (Essential)
  • Experience working with SEND pupils, either in a mainstream or specialist setting
  • Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies for SEND
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A calm, nurturing, and patient approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
