Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is currently working in partnership with a secondary SEND School based in Pontefract, South Yorkshire.

We are looking to appoint a teacher / tutor with experience of teaching students with Autism and associated learning, communication and behavioural needs.

The role involves working with students with physical and learning needs.

You will have a passion for working in an inclusive and nurturing environment. You will teach a small class of pupils who are working around age-related expectations. The right person will be able to inspire and educate children with a variety of learning needs, possessing emotional resilience with the determination to ensure all children achieve their best.

This is a full-time, long-term role, working through Prospero Teaching.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or other teaching qualification
  • Specific experience working with children with Autism
  • A resilient attitude and a range of behaviour management techniques.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
