Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to lead a mixed KS1-KS2 class in Rochdale, supporting learners with complex needs including SLD, autism and SEMH. The role focuses on personalised planning, differentiation and EHCP outcomes to promote inclusive education.

You will work with the SENCO, therapists and families, monitor progress and contribute to reports, with a Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm timetable and a permanent full-time contract.

Qualifications

• This position requires QTS or equivalent certification.
• Experience teaching in an SEN setting or strong SEN knowledge in mainstream.
• Right to Work in the UK is essential.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one.
• Provide two professional child-related references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS2, with a focus on complex needs.
• Plan, adapt, and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes, developmental milestones, and sensory requirements.
• Support pupils' holistic development—academic, social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with the SENCO, learning support staff, therapists, and families to provide a consistent and effective approach.
• Monitor pupil progress, contribute to reports, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
