Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a SEND Teacher in Bury, England to deliver high-quality, personalised teaching across five specialist pathways in an Outstanding Ofsted school.

You will work with students aged 11–19 with complex needs in a nurturing environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to personalised learning journeys across multiple pathways.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – experience in a SEND or specialist school setting is highly desirable.
  • A deep commitment to inclusive, needs-led teaching and personalised learning.
  • Patient, creative, and resilient with high expectations for every student.
  • Confident working across a range of complex need profiles and learning styles.
  • Strong collaborative skills – comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers with a passion for SEND are warmly encouraged to apply.

About the Role:

As a SEND Teacher, you'll deliver high quality, personalised teaching within a structured, nurturing environment that enables students with complex needs to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. You'll work within one of five specialist pathways - Inspire, Explore, Nurture, Discover, or Thrive - each with its own bespoke curriculum and learning approach. This is a role for a teacher who understands that progress looks different for every student, and who has the creativity and resilience to meet them where they are.

To Be Eligible You Must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate already on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Provide two professional references from child-related roles
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
