Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher for a specialist SEND school in Gateshead. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to pupils with autism, SEMH, ADHD and communication difficulties, ensuring learning is tailored to each child’s needs.

You will work closely with teaching assistants, families and other professionals to support EHCP targets and foster a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• Experience or strong interest in SEND education.
• Nurturing, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Genuine commitment to helping every pupil succeed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Support pupils with a range of SEND needs.
• Adapt teaching to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
• Create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
• Contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, families and other professionals.
• Monitor progress and celebrate pupil achievements.
