A leading school in Manchester is seeking a SEND teacher for their Communication, Language, and Interaction provision. The role involves teaching pupils across KS1 and KS2, engaging with parents and professionals, and managing support staff. About The Role
We are looking for candidates, either ECTs or experienced teachers, to teach in our Communication, Language and Interaction provision, which caters for pupils across KS1 and KS2.
All candidates should show an interest in engaging with professional development.
Candidates should have experience working within a Key Stage, with some experience in delivering phonics being essential. They should have experience engaging with parents, colleagues, and other professionals to support pupil development.
They should be able to manage support staff and liaise regularly with the SENDCO.
Candidates should have experience working with pupils with communication, language, and interaction needs, understand the SEND Code of Practice, and be able to use multi-agency working to meet the requirements of a pupil's EHCP.
They should work effectively as part of a team, be creative, show initiative, and be able to adapt teaching to enable all pupils to engage with the curriculum at their developmental level.
Prior experience in resourced provisions or special schools would be preferable.
We are seeking to employ a SEND teacher to work in our Communications, Language, and Interaction Provision.
We are a two-form entry school with two resourced provisions. We are a UNICEF Rights Respecting school and collaborate with external providers, including Manchester City Football Club, to provide a curriculum that meets our pupils' needs.
