Job summary

PK Education are recruiting for a passionate SEND Teacher to join a highly regarded Special School in Pontefract Wakefield from September 2026. The role is based in a severe complex needs setting for pupils aged 11–19 with SLD, PMLD, autism and complex communication needs.

The school values an inclusive approach, personalised curriculum and aims to develop independence, communication and life skills for all learners in Wakefield.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, autism, SLD, PMLD or complex needs
• Ability to adapt learning to meet a range of communication and learning needs
• Collaborate with therapists, support staff and families
• Create a positive, engaging and nurturing learning environment

Responsibilities
