Keys Education in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated teacher to plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching for pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The role requires QTS/QTLS and a genuine commitment to SEND, with DBS checks and safeguarding a priority.

You will work within a therapeutic, supportive environment, collaborating with staff to promote the wellbeing and progress of every pupil, while upholding school values and professional conduct.

• Experience working with pupils with SEND.
• Ability to plan inclusive learning routes and assess progress.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks.

Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The Teacher will model professional integrity and the EPIC values, work collaboratively within the school community, and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes
• Help and support individual pupils as required and encouraging them to research topics themselves
• Keep a register of pupils' attendance, set assignments and homework, mark pupils work, record completion, write progress reports and carry out continuous assessment

Requirements

• A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
• At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
• QTS/QTLS is a requirement
