Job summary

A leading educational institution in Milton Keynes is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2025. Salary: £29,344 – £44,919 (MPS/UPS depending on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a lasting impact by providing inclusive, high-quality teaching to students with a range of additional needs.

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that support various learning styles

  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs

  • Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments where needed

  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil development

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment

  • Stay current with best practices in SEND education through ongoing professional development

  • Manage behaviour using clear, consistent strategies that support emotional regulation and learning

  • Degree in Special Education or a related subject (Master’s desirable)

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with SEND specialism

  • Experience working with students with a range of SEND needs

  • Strong understanding of learning difficulties and developmental disorders

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and personalised learning
