Ark St Alban’s Academy in Birmingham is seeking a Teacher of SEND to lead high-quality, personalised lessons for pupils with complex needs in KS1 and KS2. You will differentiate content and collaborate with therapists and educational psychologists to ensure integrated support for learners.
The role requires QTS, a degree, and evidence of ongoing SEND professional development, with a focus on autism and SEMH needs. The school prides itself on addressing educational disadvantage.
The Teacher of SEND will have specialist expertise in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curricula and significant experience of teaching pupils with complex and high needs SEND, including those with autism, communication and interaction needs, cognition and learning difficulties, sensory needs and social, emotional and mental health needs.

We consistently guide pupils to GCSE and A-Level outcomes which place our cohorts in the top 10% of schools nationally on many measures, including those for the progress of disadvantaged pupils.
