SEND Teacher - Job Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Education, preferably with SEN Specialism
• Preferably 2 years experience as a qualified SEN Teacher in a school environment
• Utilise lesson plans and resources provided to teach high quality education to classes of max. 6 pupils.
• Competently teach a full nurture-style timetable, comprised of all core subjects
• Opportunity to travel between the sites in Manchester and Leeds, plus occasionally teach school-avoidant students at their homes (if you can)
• Collaborate closely with parents, your classes' Teaching Assistants and other staff members, including permanent on-site therapists and counsellors.
• Full-time, permanent role (8.30-3.30, with an early finish on Fridays!)

The small, nurturing SEN Schools are opening doors to about 70 pupils each in September, and are seeking a fully-staffed team to support permanently. The school caters for students aged 11-18, with complex SEMH, particularly ASD, who are unable to cope in mainstream school environments.

The school boasts expansive newly-developed sites, brand-new furniture and fittings throughout, to provide the optimal learning experience.
