Protocol Education are looking for a SEND Teacher to work in a primary school in East Central Bristol in their resource base. The school are committed to providing an inspiring and creative curriculum within a nurturing environment. Their aim is to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential and is prepared for the next stage in their education.
About the Role
The SEND teacher role is within the school's purpose-built resource base for pupils with a primary need of Autism or Social Communication and Language Needs. The role includes:
• Teaching pupils as a whole class, in small groups or 1:1 according to their provision outlined in their EHCP
• Working with outside agencies such as Speech and Language and Occupational Therapists
• Directing support staff in discharging their duties to enable pupil progress
• The role includes supporting a weekly forest school session for all pupils
• Regular training opportunities with specialised practitioners including the Bristol Autism Team
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
SEND Teacher (Resource Base) Plan, deliver and evidence high quality learning opportunities in line with the school’s curriculum for pupils with significant and complex needs associated with ASC and/or SCLN.
