Job summary

Corvedale CofE Primary School is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support learning and pupil progress. You will assist teachers, work with pupils requiring individual support, and help implement EHCPs in and out of the classroom, according to school safeguarding policies.

The role is 22.5 hours per week during term time (43.60 weeks per year), fixed term until 31 August 2027, with start expected November 2026. DBS check will be required in line with safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Flexible to work across the whole primary phase as needed, focusing on 1:1 with SEND pupils.
• Strong teamwork and willingness to contribute to a caring ethos.

Responsibilities

• Support access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.
• Provide support for pupils with EHCPs and colleagues in delivering lessons.
• Work in or out of the classroom as required to support learning objectives.
