Job summary

Corvedale CofE Primary School is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support access to learning for pupils and assist the class teacher. The role involves 1:1 work with SEND pupils, safeguarding responsibilities and collaboration with the teaching staff.

The post is 22.5 hours per week, term time only (43.60 weeks per year), fixed term until 31 August 2027, with start in November 2026. A DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Must be NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience with 1:1 work with SEND pupils is desirable.
• Flexibility to work across the whole primary phase.

Responsibilities

• Support access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.
• Provide support for individual Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Assist with pupils in and out of the classroom as needed.
• Work under supervision with teaching staff and other TAs in a safeguarding-focused environment.
