Job summary

Bury College is seeking an permanent, full-time Additional Learning Support (ALS) professional to plan, deliver and review support for learners with SEND and EHCPs. The role spans across curriculum areas and all campuses, including 16-18 and adult-provision, requiring collaboration with course teams and a focus on inclusivity.

Experience with EHCP guidance and the RARPA process is essential to ensure effective support and progression for learners with high needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in post-16 settings planning and delivering additional learning support across disciplines.
• Background working with young adults with additional needs, including target-setting and progress recording.
• Experience working within EHCP guidelines and the RARPA process.
• Willingness to develop ALS provision within curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and review additional support for learners across curriculum areas.
• Liaise with course teams about incoming and continuing learners with additional needs and EHCPs.
• Support teachers in meeting the needs of learners with additional needs.
• Assist with activities that bring additional learning support into the curriculum.
• Share best practice in supporting learners with additional needs, including EHCPs.
• Make sure each learner has a good college experience and can reach their potential.
• Help make the college's provision more inclusive.
