Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Ashton-Under-Lyne are seeking a caring 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with learning and wellbeing within a friendly primary school.

You will work with the class teacher and SENDCo to support communication, independence and emotional wellbeing, with full training provided and DBS checks. This temporary role may become permanent; all pay includes statutory holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Full training and DBS checks will be provided.
• All applicants require DBS and safeguarding checks.

Teaching Personnel are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Ashton-Under-Lyne.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support a KS1 pupil with their learning, communication, emotional wellbeing and independence, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
• Is calm, nurturing and patient.
• Can build positive relationships with children.
• Is adaptable and able to respond to individual needs.
• Works well as part of a team.

SEND or primary school experience is desirable, but full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
