Job summary

Worksop College and Ranby House is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Specialist SEND Support) to work with a Senior School student who has an EHCP. You will support access to learning, promote independence and wellbeing, and collaborate with the Learning Support Department to tailor strategies across lessons and activities.

The role requires skills in building professional relationships, sensitivity to barriers to learning, and a calm, reflective approach within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience supporting students with complex learning, emotional or pastoral needs.
• A good understanding of autism, ADHD, dyslexia and anxiety-based barriers.

Responsibilities

• Support the student's engagement, wellbeing and participation throughout the school day.
• Build trusting relationships to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
• Work with teaching staff to implement agreed support strategies and adapt learning.
