Job summary

Fleet Education Services is seeking experienced EYFS/Primary tutors specialising in SEND/SEMH to deliver personalised, in-person tuition across Camden. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in learners’ lives beyond academics, by providing academic and emotional support within the community.

Applicants should have a relevant degree, at least 6 months in a specialist setting, and experience with Makaton/PECS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Level 6 qualification.
• At least 6 months’ teaching or tutoring experience in a specialist setting or SEMH school.
• Right to live and work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours.
• Experience using Makaton and/or PECS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person tuition in learner’s homes, schools or public settings.
• Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons.
• Maintain progression by submitting accurate session reports and providing feedback.
• Liaise with parents, carers, social workers, SENCOs and other professionals.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree or Level 6

Teaching/tutoring experience

Makaton/PECS knowledge

Experience with non-verbal learners
