Job summary

Educ8SEN is expanding across Camden to recruit SEND Tutors and Outreach Educators to support children and young people who cannot access mainstream education. Roles include 1:1 tuition, emotional regulation support, and collaboration with families and professionals, delivered through flexible outreach models across Camden.

This part-time, freelance role offers flexible hours and on-the-road delivery. Experience with SEND/SEMH and DBS checks are required; right to work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND/SEMH, including at least 2 years working with SEN or SEMH young people and 2 years working with SEND and SEMH children.
• At least 1 year of teaching or mentoring experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is required.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Ability to provide professional references.
• Location: Camden required.

• Supporting emotional regulation and confidence-building.
• Building positive and consistent professional relationships.
• Delivering personalised learning programmes.
• Supporting reintegration into education.
• Delivering Functional Skills and GCSE support where appropriate.
• Recording attendance and progress updates.
• Working collaboratively with families and professionals.
• Using trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
