Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a School-Based Support Worker in Hereford to assist learners with complex needs in a specialist SEND setting. You will work with teachers, therapists and support staff to enable a sensory and engagement-based curriculum, promoting communication and independence.

The role involves personal care and mobility support, with a clear path to long-term or permanent opportunities for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults is desirable.
• Experience in care, residential support, healthcare or education is advantageous.
• A willingness to support personal care and mobility needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach.
• A passion for supporting learners with SEND

Responsibilities

• Support learners with severe learning difficulties, autism and complex needs in a specialist SEND school.
• Work alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to develop communication skills and independence.
• Support personal care, mobility and therapy programmes as required.
