Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced SEND Quality Assurance Lead to strengthen quality assurance, drive improvement, and deliver robust audit activity across the SEND system in Liverpool. The role is offered for 14 months to cover maternity leave, with potential for a secondment route as a pathway to appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within education and/or SEND services.
• Applications welcomed from qualified teachers, qualified social workers registered with Social Work England, or individuals holding a relevant degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SEND audit and quality assurance activity
• Analyse findings and translate these into improvement actions, learning and development
• Support managers and practitioners to develop a shared understanding of excellent practice
• Monitor the effectiveness of Education, Health and Care (EHC) planning and wider SEND services
• Produce high-quality reports, identify themes and recommendations, and support delivery of improvement plans
• Work collaboratively with partners across education, health, social care and safeguarding services
