Job summary

Suffolk County Council is seeking a Specialist SEND Practitioner for the Integrated Front Door in Ipswich to provide expert SEND guidance and support for children, young people and families. The role focuses on early identification, safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration to ensure timely, right-time help.

Qualifications

• Significant SEND experience working with children, young people and families.
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence practice and build relationships across teams.
• Ability to assess information, identify risks and make proportionate recommendations.
• Experience working with partner agencies across children's services, education and health.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SEND advice within Integrated Front Door.
• Support professionals to identify additional needs and signpost appropriate services.
• Advise on pathways, thresholds and available support services.
• Collaborate with social care, education, health and Family Help teams to improve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records to support decision-making.
