Job summary

Pippa’s House Day Nursery in Claygate, part of Grandir UK, is seeking a caring SEND Nursery Practitioner to identify early SEND indicators and ensure that every child receives the appropriate support and encouragement to thrive.

You will provide support within the room, work with families and staff, and help put Individual Education Plans in place. This role offers a supportive team, flexible working, and genuine progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• SEND indicators identified at an early stage to provide appropriate support to each child.
• Support within the room and collaboration with the team to implement Individual Education Plans.
• Safeguarding, DBS checks, and working within a child-centred environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between parents and staff for children with special educational needs.
• Advise and support Nursery Practitioners regarding SEND.
• Ensure Individual Education Plans are in place and up-to-date.
• Collect and maintain relevant background information on children with SEND.

Our Pippa's House Day Nursery in Claygate, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEND Nursery Practitioner to join our team.

What will you be doing

• Acting as a liaison between parents and staff for children with special educational needs and disabilities
• Advising and supporting other Nursery Practitioners regarding children with special educational needs or disabilities
• Ensuring that appropriate Individual Education Plans are in place
• Ensuring that relevant background information about children with special educational needs or disabilities is collected, recorded, and updated
• Keeping up to date with initiatives and best practice
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
