Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a caring Personal Care Assistant to support children with complex needs in a SEND school in the NG3 Nottingham area. You will provide both educational and personal care support to pupils with a range of needs including ASC, SLD, PMLD, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and complex medical needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or vulnerable individuals in care, education or support.
• Compassionate, patient and caring by nature.
• Confident providing personal care while maintaining dignity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and adaptable in busy environments.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with personal care needs including toileting, changing and hygiene.
• Assist with mobility and physical support.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support in the classroom.
• Support communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs.
• Work with teachers and therapists to meet individual needs.
• Promote independence, confidence and social development.
• Encourage engagement in learning and activities.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
